Kelsey Upchurch is a Texas-based photographer specializing in black and white analog film photography as well as detail-based editorial shoots. Kelsey incorporates her lifelong passion for cinematography in her work, creating pictures with high contrast and striking quality of light. In her first year of college at St. Edward’s University in Austin, Texas, Kelsey fell in love with the process and outcome of 35mm photography, which has encouraged her to keep making work with this method to this day. Her ongoing project, The Americana Series, encourages audiences to find beauty beneath decay as they grow older and face their inevitable end.
